ACCRETION DISK SIMULATION

Simulation (toy model) of the accretion disk of the distant quasar TON 599 considering a Shakura-Sunyaev profile.

I took into account the relativistic beaming, the gravitational redshift created by the central supermassive black hole, and in true colors in the optical range. We can see in the video the relativistic beaming becoming quite important when observing the disk from the edge. This is created by the fast rotation of the inner orbits reaching 40% of the speed of the light.
